On April 16, Spilka, in collaboration with Kennedys Law, hosted an insightful hybrid seminar that brought together legal professionals both virtually and in-person at Kennedys’ London office. The event provided a platform to discuss pressing legal issues related to claims against Russia stemming from the invasion of Ukraine.
The seminar featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including Vladislav Vlasiuk, Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine; Olexander Droug from Sayenko Kharenko; Oleksandr Frolov from Asters; Tetyana Nesterchuk from Fountain Court Chambers; and Alexander Scard from Kennedys. Moderated by Oleg Shaulko of Stephenson Harwood, the panel delivered valuable insights on critical topics such as the Register of Damage, investment treaty claims, arbitration versus court proceedings, state immunity, and the confiscation of frozen Russian assets.
The discussions were both thought-provoking and practical, offering attendees a comprehensive overview of the legal strategies and challenges involved in seeking justice and reparations. The hybrid format allowed a wide audience to participate, fostering meaningful dialogue among professionals dedicated to Ukraine’s recovery.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Kennedys Law and our esteemed speakers for making this event possible.
